I ended my last entry saying I was 'out of the quicksand, but not out of the woods'. As it turns out... two months later I'm still in the woods. In the intervening two months, I've learned that I won't be getting anything from unemployment to help me get by - my previous employer didn't pay into unemployment, it seems, so I'm pretty much SOL until I get a job.

Specifically, it means I have no cash reserve to keep paying my minimum credit card payment monthly, to move somewhere if I get a job out of the area, to purchase, well... anything.
